I'm honestly happy for you that you've found someone who helps you make sense of the world. Not everybody's requirements are the same when it comes to feeding their curiosity about Life's Big Questions™.
As I've recently come to believe -- through the help of a colleague here at work (
link to his blog) -- there are no irrational choices. How a person makes a choice and how they behave from one moment to the next is determined by all their life experiences up the that point.
Here's a pertinent quote:
