Hi , what size id your tv .

I have the same stand with a 50 inch panny and VP-180 and am able to get stand on top shelf .

I have a 60 inch Kuro Elite, the stands' bracket to raise the Pio off the top shelf was not wide enough to fit the TVs' mounting holes, so it sits on the top shelf. It took some top frame and support post drilling, and I made some risers to raise the second shelf up an additional 2 inches.
It worked out well.
