The candidates were rather limited considering everything I needed to do (dual HDMI output for two TVs with different capabilitities, exceptional up-scaling, flexible re-mixing for multi-zone, lots and lots and lots of inputs of all kinds and source configuration -- the only one having all I needed, with one spare, and tons of little other details).

I had my eye for a while on the ever-up-coming Outlaw 997, but it was still a compromise and the wait was getting ridiculous. In the end, this is the culmination of a 3-year project to replace my previous 20+year-old sound system. After years of helping on installations and calibrations of all kinds, I had initially planned on: Paradigm (speakers), Bryston (Amp) and Lexicom (pre/pro) with a hefty budget...

After I discovered Axiom, I managed to do step 1&2 within the budget of 1 step... Now I am finishing the 3rd item. As far as I'm concerned, I end up with something equivalent (when not slightly better), but at 60% of the original budget!

Can't wait!
