I had dinner last night with the hiring manager, and then met with him and the job's counterpart today for about 3 hours (which included lunch, so about 2 hours of interview time) running through "what if" and other scenarios as well as touching on my skills. Averything seemed to be going pretty well and then a vague email went out to all management about some upcoming job cuts, so who knows if this job will ever get approved!!!! Ugh! It isn't clear what jobs are being cut, but instead of me feeling really positive right now, I have that "pit in my stomach" feeling again!
