Cam, if you are sitting low (i.e., couch level) you can use a coffe table to hold the TV. I am using one for my RPTV and the hight puts the sweet spot right where i need it. Plasma has a much wider viewing angle so you have more options, but as far as costs go, a used or cheap coffee table might be less than other options and more practicle. Mine has a lower shelf that fits my AVR, Center, and Cable box. (Mine was free as the neighbors needed to store it!)
