It's not all about the price. I'd rather pay twice as much, if I can deal with less hassle and future down time. I'll have to give this some thought.
With Electronics it's a complete crap shoot... Right now my processor, and all of my amps are used/referb. 2 of my amps were built in the 90's... They are all going strong, one was serviced before i bought it... However, when i buy a brand new piece of electronics.. I almost ALWAYS get the 1 in 1,000,000 that fails... So, i almost always buy electronics used, not due to economics, but due to my crappy luck... Even my laptop, i bought used from a buddy....
Call a local electronic repair shop, they can solder a new RCA connector on your receiver for you.
