I've been thinking about adding a battery backup unit (UPS) to my HT setup. I get a few power drops and blackouts a year. This is more about battery backup, line conditioning, and surge suppression. Not about whole house surge protection only.
Here's what I currently have:
Panasonic 65 inch VT50 plasma TV.
Denon avr3312ci receiver.
OPPO BPD-93.
Monster 1800 surge suppressor/power conditioner.
Should I get the biggest UPS I can find like
this one, or would a smaller one do? I'd rather have the bigger one, if I can get a lot more up time with it. Don't want the smaller one if all it allows me to do is immediately hit the power off button on my remote.
It would probably be best to retire the Monster unit, if I got one of these.
Or, is there a better unit, or method, I'm not familiar with?
