That thought has crossed my mind. He does have a lot of good qualities. Price (usually). Thoroughness (usually). Fixes things he finds along the way (this is what has caused my throttle problem.) I'm going back there Friday, and I'm going to insist that he fixes the throttle problem then. Will call today, to make sure he's going to have the part available. I can't pay him for that one until about 3 weeks down the road, but he did cause the problem.
I'll be on the lookout for a different mechanic, if I can find better.
