Is it because we know there is no threat, no danger, and the cat won't get hurt? Is that what I was thinking when I had 4 dogs and mail-ordered a 7', inflatable T-Rex? They fell for it every time, for days. We went through packages of patch kits before they caught on and lost all interest.

Is a dog/cat being toyed with using a laser pointer so OK these days, that you can get 'em in pet stores? Isn't it kinda like "punking" a dog or cat, and isn't that mean?
