I'm hoping someone here owns a Denon with that config so i don't have to go over to Audioholics or AVS to find an answer. The Denon manual was not clear at all (no surprise but the diagram on page 286 if 100% accurate leads me to think the answer is no; https://ca.denon.com/ca/product/hometheater/receivers/avrx3600h).

If you hook up a HDMI input (like a satellite) to a Denon AVR, can you use the Denon component video out as the output? (most new TVs still have component video inputs so this should be a fairly easy test if someone has such a setup).
I'll need to know if using a HDMI input on the AVR requires that only the HDMI out can be used for this signal.

I think i found the answer and i expected because of the secure nature of the HDMI interface, this was likely going to be a no.

Per the Denon Q&A section (after quite some searching):

Using HDMI In and Composite or Component Out

When I use HDMI from my cable box to my receiver why don't I get a picture from my Composite or Component video output in the Main Zone or Zone 2?

HDMI cannot be down converted to an analog video level due to HDCP compliancy regulations. In addition, there is no HDMI video conversion to Zone 2.
