Since the AxiomAir is an AirPlay speaker we didn't see a time when Apple users would need an App. Also, Apple devices have a program called Bonjour pre-loaded so they can access the webUI without needing to search out the IP address. For Android users the App allows the UI to resolve without needing to search out the IP address.
