We are going to incorporate those features in a future update. We will make it so the AxiomAir has the ability to remember networks and allow you to pick the one you want to join from a list and the ability to force the hotspot mode even when your network is present.
For now a trick to forcing the hotspot mode is to go into the network you are connected to on the Network page and join it but put an incorrect password in. This will cause it to fail to join that network and default to the hotspot mode.
